Two arrested after a series of thefts from motor vehicles

Delaware State Police say they have arrested a Rehoboth man and woman after a five month investigation into a series of thefts from motor vehicles, which have been occurring in Sussex County, DE.
Police state they were receiving many reports of thefts along the Route 1 corridor in Sussex County since March 2016. Investigators claim that some of the stolen items included IPod’s, jewelry, and loose change, which were visible in unsecured vehicles.
DSP report that after many interviews and thorough investigation that they were able to positively identify 23-year-old William J. Rodenbaugh and 31-year-old Jaimie O’Connor as the main suspects.
Police say that on Wednesday, August 10, 2016, they arrested Rodenbaugh and claim they have charged him with approximately 127 criminal charges such as 3rd-degree Burglary, Theft, and other similar charges.
Investigators also report that O’Connor was arrested on July 26, 2016 and say she was charged with two counts of 3rd-degree Burglary, two counts of 3rd-degree Conspiracy, two counts of Theft, two counts of Falsifying Business Records, and two counts of Selling Stolen Property.
According to DSP, this case is still on-going at this moment. Detectives state they have obtained property such as knives, purses, gift cards, jewelry, and binoculars, which have yet to be claimed.
