Troopers investigate serious crash in Harrington
Troopers in Delaware say they are investigating a serious two vehicle crash that occurred Tuesday in Harrington.
According to Delaware State Police, the crash happened just after 4:30 PM. 53-year-old Adam Fox, of Frederica was reportedly driving south on Fox Hunters Road and was stopped at the stop sign at the intersection with Whiteleysburg Road. During the same time 23-year-old Brian Ennis of Lincoln was reportedly driving east on Whiteleysburg Road approaching the same intersection. Troopers say Fox pulled into the intersection where he was hit by Ennis, causing Fox to spin out of control into a utility pole. The impact also caused Ennis’s vehicle to overturn ejecting him from the driver seats.
Ennis, who was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt was flown to Christiana Medical Center where he was admitted in critical condition.
Fox, who was reportedly wearing a seatbelt sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated on the scene.
The investigation into this crash is ongoing. No charges have been filed at this time.
Troopers say, Whiteleysburg Road at Fox Hunters Road was closed for about three hours while the crash was investigated and cleared.
