but another big transfer being made official today yea we see it every summer really.. players transfering from one school to another for one reason or another but we had another one happen, and this was a pretty big one naail thompson became the latest player to transfer programs, as the former cambridge basketball standout will be playing for saints peter and paul this year. now that comes after he has spent the past two years playing varsity ball for coach burns he started at point guard for the vikings last year, and helped guide them to their bayside north title now he teams up with tyrese purnell, making the sabres the team to beat this year and he’s not the only one that will be playing for a new school this year former woodbridge basketball star randy dupont has found a new home, as he will be playing for central penn this season now that comes after he spent the last year at scotland performance institute. well his hard work at the prep school paid off and now he’s headed to play at the division 2 level and the shorebirds were back to work last night as they faced off against the suns rough start to the game for delmarva in this one hagerstown ropes that one to center for a rbi single to take the lead in the 4th birds trying to tie it up in the 5th pass ball and stewart levy takes off.. but he gets thrown out at th plate! hagerstown then stretching their lead nice catch there by nataniel delgado.. but still goes down as a sac fly delmarva though, not going away 1 on for cedric mullins.. and he gets all of that one for a 2 run shot to center to tie this thing up lead was short lived though bottom of that frame, and the suns used the longball themselves to take the lead for good delmarva drops their 7th straight, 3-2 and life comes at you fast take a look at the standings 1 week ago.. delmarva was just 1 game back of 1st fastward 7 days with delmarva dropping 7 straight games… and yeah they fall all the way from 2nd place and 1 game back.. to 5th place, and are now 4 games back of the lead now that might not sound to bad.. except for the fact that there are now only 11 games left shorebirds need a miricle at this point and our high school football tour continues tonight, this time with a stop at sussex central the golden knights are coming off a pretty good season, but just missed out on making playoffs some big holes to fill though headed into this year we’ll take a closer look at the golden knights, later on tonight at 11 and we are just days away from our 2nd annual, dsi coaches conference.. and if you love high school football, you absolutely cannot miss this. we’ve got 8 coaches coming to the studio, were previewing all 27 of our maryland and delaware teams. so expect a lot of fun and maybe a little trash talk on the side, all in the form of a lot of fun right here at 7 on saturday. that’s it for sports – more news and weather straight ahead. stay with us. catch more of the action on our sports page at 47abc.com
