talking sports. tray, an exciting game right here on abc yesterday for the little league world series championship. yeah emily and an exciting time for the mid-atlantic region of the country. this is the same division that we saw the west salisbury little league make it to williamsport to represent a few years back, and this year the milton little league got a chance. now milton, eventually fell in this double elimination tournament……they lost their first game, to endwell, new york. maine-endwell kept that momentum going from regionals, into the us championship, and into the world championship yesterday taking on south korea. and in the top of the sixth, with two men on and two outs, all is well! endwell makes history, becomes the first team to ever beat a south korean team in a title game, and becomes the first winner from the us in five years. a remarkable run for these young guys, they finished 24-0 throughout this whole tournament, beginning in about late july and through all that pressure…did not lose one game. they received a call from president obama as well as a tweet, along with a video meage from drake, as well as a parade in their hometown today. and were on our last victory lap on our football previews series, today is day number 15. we are 19 teams down, meaning we only have 8 teams left in this thing, tonight we head to stevensville, the last exit before the bay bridge to check out the kent island buccaneers. the bucs finished with a record of 10-2 on the season, winning a playoff game before falling in the regional title game in coach damien feragamo’s first season. a lot more expected out of the bucs this season, get your preview here tonight at 11. that’s it for sports – more news and weather straight ahead. stay with us. catch more of the action on our sports page at 47abc.com
