Sept. 9 – Autism Delaware’s Blue Jean Ball

Local individuals and organizations are joining Autism Delaware’s mission to help people and families affected by autism spectrum disorder by becoming sponsors of the 2016 Blue Jean Ball. Hertrich Toyota deserves exceptional recognition as one of many longtime sponsors, not only as the exclusive presenting sponsor but also as the exclusive BidPal sponsor. “From year to year,” notes Autism Delaware events manager Deanna Principe, “Hertrich Toyota exemplifies generosity. As a result, Hertrich Toyota has enjoyed good will in the autism community, developed relationships, and been able to showcase its product.”

Continuing to support Autism Delaware as the exclusive band sponsor, Peninsula Oil and Propane made it possible to present new entertainment at this year’s Blue Jean Ball. The musical group Carnivale has played for such artists as Harold Melvin and The Bluenotes, Ray Charles, The O’Jays, Patti Labelle, and more. “Every dance style,” notes the Carnivale website, “from standards to funk and soul, R&B, hip hop, rock, and alternative, is executed with the highest level of authenticity and richness. When it’s time to ‘party,’ you will be blown away by the Baddest Band On The Planet.”

In addition to exclusive sponsorships, Autism Delaware offers diamond, emerald, ruby, sapphire, and media sponsorships. “Thanks to the generosity of individuals,” adds Principe, “who donate whatever they are able, and businesses like Arbor Care, Deakyne Law Office, and John F. Kleinstuber & Associates, Autism Delaware can assign more of the funds we raise to our programs and services. From the needs of children to the needs of adults on the spectrum—and their families—the programs and services include awareness and advocacy at the state and local level as well as family support, clinical services, and community-based vocational services and social and wellness activities.”
So, put on your blue jeans and bling on Friday, September 16, and join the party at Nassau Valley Vineyards, 32165 Winery Way in Lewes, from 7:00 to 11:00 P.M. In addition to enjoying sponsor-supplied beer and spirits, attendees can sample the vineyard’s own award-winning wines.

Tickets cost $85 per person and are now on sale at autismdelaware.org.
