Senior League: District 3 Rolls Past Latin America

The softball senior league World Series is underway in Roxana, as District 3 earned their first win of the tournament as they topped Latin America 14-5. The win improves the host team to 1-2 in pool play.

The offense struck early and often for District 3. Hannah Jones would cap off a big first inning when she roped a shot down the 1st base line for a RBI triple, scoring Sydney Tyndall. Shortly after that, District 3 would stretch their lead after getting aggressive on the base, taking advantage of some miscues. Jenna Calloway would score off a pass ball, before a bases loaded walk drawn by Reagan Jackson would bring in another score. That was followed by another pass ball that would bring in 2 more scores, as both Jessica Evans and Jones would slide home safely. The bats stayed hot from there as they got another 2 RBI single from Jones that would score Jordyn Virden and Logan Walls. Tori Henry would come in on relief and close the game out to secure the win.
