New Castle County Police investigating local shooting

New Castle County Police are investigating a shooting that took place in the Prides Court Apartments complex earlier this morning.

Around 3:45 AM, officers were dispatched in response to a shooting along Winchester Road. Once they had arrived, police say they found two men, a 19-year-old and a 20-year-old, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

The two men received medical treatment at the scene, and were then transported to a local hospital where they are currently being treated.

New Castle County detectives responded to the scene and have assumed the investigation. This is an active and ongoing investigation; further information will be released as it is received.
