Nanticoke Road is reportedly back open

After being closed for several weeks, Nanticoke Road has been reopened. That’s according to the Maryland State Highway Administration.

Back in June, Nanticoke Road was closed after storms damaged a drain. The affected portion of the roadway was between Oliver Drive and Rockawalkin Road. The pipe that was reportedly repaired connects Rockawalkin Creek with a pond on the north side of Nanticoke Road.

47 ABC previously talked with officials with the SHA, who said the timeline for the repair was before Labor Day. The cost was initially estimated at $300,000. We’re told that money came out of an emergency fund.

The road reopened Friday.
