Milford Police collecting school supplies for local children

The Milford Police Department’s Community Policing Unit is collecting school supplies for elementary aged Milford School District students.

The collection will began on Thursday and will go through next Wednesday, August 10.

Officials say these supplies will be distributed to district students in need for the upcoming 2016-2017 school year.

These supplies will be collected in the lobby of the Milford Police Department, and can also be placed in the boxes as pictured above. The boxes will be to the right in the lobby at the Milford Police Department.

A list of supplies needed is as follows:

  • No. 2 pencils
  • Spiral notebooks
  • Washable Crayola crayons box of 24
  • Large pink erasers
  • Pencil cases
  • Colored pencils
  • Loose leaf wide ruled paper
  • Highlighters
  • Composition books
  • 3 ring binders
  • Tissue boxes
  • Hand sanitizer
  • School Approved Polo Shirts in Maroon or Gold (youth sizes only)
