Milford man arrested on drug charges

The Milford Police Department’s Drugs, Vice, and Organized Crime Unit says they arrested a man, on Monday, following a drug investigation conducted by detectives.

Fhungel Smith, 36 of Milford, was reportedly contacted by detectives from the Milford Police Department and the Delaware Capitol Police on a traffic stop on Linstone Lane.

According to the report, a search of Smith’s vehicle allowed officials to find 65 bags of heroin, and an undisclosed amount of US money.

Following the search of the vehicle, a search warrant apparently was executed by detectives at an apartment at Silver Lake Estates in which 2 grams of marijuana was located and drug paraphernalia.

Officials say Smith was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court #2, where bail was set at $6000 secured, and Smith has since been committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution.
