Ovidio Morales-Gabriel, 32, of Milford

On Friday, Milford Police reportedly arrested a Milford man following an investigation into a sexual assault.

Detectives were notified on Friday about an incident that reportedly occurred in April of 2016 at a home on Southeast Front Street.

Officials say following an investigation that included the victim being interviewed at the Child Advocacy in Sussex County, detectives obtained a warrant for Ovidio Morales-Gabriel, 32, of Milford.

Officials say Morales-Gabriel was later taken into custody at a church on Southeast Front Street without incident.

According to the report, he has been charged with sexual abuse of a child by person of trust first degree, three counts of rape second degree, unlawful sexual contact second degree, and terroristic threatening.

Morales-Gabriel was reportedly presented at Justice of the Peace Court #3 in Georgetown, where bail has been set at $240,000 cash.

He has been apparently been committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution, and is scheduled for a Preliminary Hearing at the Sussex County Court of Common Pleas on Thursday.
