Man sentenced after reportedly stealing car and leading officers on a police chase in Dover

A New Castle man plead guilty and was sentenced Wednesday after reportedly stealing a police vehicle, and leading police on a car chase in Dover in July.
Officials say that 44-year-old Malachai DeBruce of New Castle, was sentenced to a year of intensive probation supervision after he was found driving in a stolen vehicle, and after he later led officers on a chase in July in Dover.
The amount that DeBruce is expected to pay and when he is expected to pay it will be determined by probation and investigative services.
DeBruce was charged with receiving stolen property, disregarding a police officer signal, and twenty-nine other traffic related offenses.
