H.S. Football Preview: Wi-Hi Indians

The Wi-Hi football program is looking to forget the 2015 campaign, and enter this year with a new mindset and goal. The Indians finished last year with a 2-8 record, resulting in a change of their head coach, and a shift in the program.

The Tribe enter their first season under head coach Brian Hanson. He takes over a program that watched a few key players graduate last year, including wide receiver Barry Gaines Jr. The team will also be undergoing a big transition on the offensive side of the ball, as they move from their traditional wing-t to a triple option attack. The team will be leaning heavily on the experience of senior quarterback Jason Patterson. The team is rallying around the opportunity of rebuilding the program to the place it once was years ago.

Wi-Hi opens up their season on September 2nd when they travel to play Cambridge SD.
