H.S. Football Preview: Stephen Decatur Seahawks

The Stephen Decatur Seahawks have already endured a couple of losses before the 2016 season even kicks off. The ‘Hawks will be without head coach Bob Knox for the first time in 38 years, as the coach has elected to take a leave of absence for the season, citing family health reasons.

On top of losing their legendary coach, Decatur will have to deal with the loss of two of their best players from a year ago in quarterback Darion McKenzie, and wide receiver Tyree Henry, who both transferred to St. Francis Academy in Baltimore. Losing two of the best athletes in the Bayside Conference will be tough to replace as Decatur enters the season under interim coach Stan Griffith. Griffith says he will rely on an experienced coaching staff to get thru this season.

The Seahawks begin their season on Friday, Sept. 3rd on the road in Chesapeake City, when they visit Bohemian Manor.
