H.S. Football Preview: Easton Warriors

The Easton football team is hoping to move past a down season and have a big turn around in 2016. The Warriors finished 2-8 a season ago, but had 10 underclassmen on varsity and went through a steep learning curve to prepare for this season.

Easton will be returning several of its starters all over the field and a strong off season has helped create a good amount of competitive talent in camp. This has resulted in several position battles and growth throughout the early parts of camp according to head coach Matt Griffith. The team is expected to go with Zack Strand under center. He’ll be aided by some speed on the outside as well, headlined by TJ Nixon. The true test for this team will be proving they can run between the tackles, and pick up the hard yards after graduating their work horse a year ago in Jojo Marasco.

Easton opens up their season on September 2nd when they host North Caroline.
