FRIDAY RESULTS / SATURDAY CANCELLED DUE TO THE HEAT INDEX – July 22, 2016

While everyone was trying to figure out how to beat the heat a pair of veteran racers were trying to figure out how to beat each other Friday night at the U.S. 13 Dragway. Bill Groton of Seaford, Del. in his ‘66 Pontiac GTO faced former champ, Frank Lecates of Salisbury, Md. in his dragster in the Top ET final. At the finish line it would be Groton taking his second win of the season. Daryl Beauchamp of Princess Anne, Md. posted his second consecutive win in Mod ET while Dale Hamilton of Mount Airy, Md. rode to the win in Pro Bike. Other winners on the day included: Michael Jefferson of Parsonsburg, Md. in Street; Joe Serro of Millsboro, Del. in Hot Rod; Keith Riddle of Millsboro in Jr. Dragster 1 and Brett Holston of Felton, Del. in Jr. Dragster 2.
