Frederica Man sentenced for involvement in 2015 reported drug trafficking organization

A Frederica man involved in a drug trafficking organization was sentenced in Kent County, Monday.

According to Delaware officials, Gary D. Williams of Frederica, was sentenced to one year in prison,  six months of home confinement or work release, followed by one year of probation for Williams’ charge of first count drug dealing.

For the second count, Williams was sentenced to 18 months of level three probation.
 
Williams was charged in 2015 on multiple felony crimes including racketeering, and drug and weapons offenses.

Williams was involved in Operation Spiritus, a drug trafficking organization that reportedly distributed over 1,000 grams of cocaine in a period of six months. In the investigation led by multiple Delaware police departments, along with the FBI, officials recovered drug, guns, vehicles, and money.
