Fight breaks out at party, ends in gunfire

A large fight reportedly broke out at a party in the early Saturday morning, which ended in gunfire.

The Dover Police Department is investigating an incident that occurred shortly before 1:30 AM, when a large party was reportedly taking place in the 100 Block of Holmes Street.  According to police, a large fight broke out at the party and an unknown suspect began firing multiple shots.  A 25-year-old man was allegedly struck in the thigh and treated at Bayhealth Kent General Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.  Police say it appears the victim was not an intended target, but was attending the party.
