Easton Police arrest 17-year-old for armed robbery

Officers of the Easton Police Department say they arrested a 17-year-old boy on Thursday after an armed robbery.
According to the report, the boy was taken into custody after a short pursuit on foot that ended at South Aurora Street and Talbot Street. He was reportedly charged with armed robbery, robbery, assault first and second degree, theft, MDOP, and conspiracy charges.
Officials say the 17-year-old was taken before a Talbot County District Court Commissioner where he was help on a $25,000 bond.
Also, on August 7, officers of the Easton Police Department say they were dispatched to the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Easton in response to a robbery.
Investigation reportedly revealed that a man was walking on South Locust Lane and South Street when he was approached by about four other men. Officials say that after a short conversation, the suspects attacked the victim, hitting him with their hands and a bat.
According to the report, the suspects took the victim’s personal items and left, leaving the victim to walk to the hospital where he was treated for his injuries.
This is relevant because investigation apparently led to identifying the 17-year-old mentioned above as one of suspects involved.
