Dover man arrested on drug and gun charges

Police say a Dover man was arrested after a drug investigation netted hundreds of grams of marijuana.

According to Dover PD Donovan Maldonado was the center of a drug investigation. On Wednesday, a search warrant was apparently executed on a house on Madison Court. Police say they found over 600 grams of marijuana and 3.8 grams of cocaine along with a pistol, rifle, and shotgun.

Maldonado was apparently taken into custody without incident. He is facing a multitude of charges, including possession with intent to deliver marijuana, three counts of possession of firearm by person prohibited, and, because there were children in the house when police searched it, he is facing six counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Police say he was ordered to be held on bond.
