Delaware suspect captured after escaping police custody

(AP) – State police say they have captured a wanted man who escaped out of their custody.
Delaware State Police spokesman Richard Bratz says 24-year-old Tahreek Leslie, of New Castle, escaped from police custody at Troop 9 in Odessa on Sunday morning after being detained on a trespass complaint. Authorities then found out Leslie was on probation and was wanted on multiple charges including second-degree burglary.
It is unclear how Leslie, who was handcuffed, got away. Police found him less than six hours later in a wooded area in Odessa.
Leslie was charged with second-degree escape, second-degree burglary, theft of a firearm, theft and conspiracy. It is unclear whether he has an attorney.
