Delaware DPH recognizing August as National Immunization Month

August is National Immunization Month and the Delaware division of Public Health is imploring first state residents to get and stay vaccinated.
According to the DPH, every year thousands of Americans are hospitalized, and some die, from diseases that could have been prevented by vaccination.
Officials say there is a misconception among many adults that vaccines are only for children which they say is untrue. Specific vaccines an adult needs are determined by factors such as age, lifestyle, risk factors, travel, and immunizations you’ve already gotten.
