Del.police asking for help to identify suspect in armed robbery

Delaware State Police say they are investigating the armed robbery of a Newark area pharmacy that happened Tuesday night.

According to the report, around 9:40 PM, a man entered the Walgreens on Ogletown Road armed with an unknown make and model handgun.

Officials say that the man approached the sales counter, confronted four employees, and demanded money from the cash registers.

The victims apparently complied with the demands and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash before the suspect ran away. No injuries were reported in this incident.

According to the report, the suspect is described as male, 5’05” – 5’06” tall, 130-140 pounds, and was last seen wearing a long sleeved black shirt, light colored pants, dark sneakers, and had a shirt covering his face.
