Del. Breast Cancer Coalition hosting bike ride for survivors

The Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition has announced they will host a “Nurture with Nature” bike trail ride from Lewes to Rehoboth for breast cancer survivors.
The event will take place on Tuesday, August 30 from 9 to 11 AM.
DBCC organizers say the “Nurture with Nature” program is a series that allows breast cancer survivors to come together and experience nature by hiking, kayaking, biking, horseback riding or simply walking through natural surroundings.
The Nurture with Nature Kayak Excursion will apparently offer survivors the chance to bike from Cape Henlopen Nature Center in Lewes to Gordons Pond in Rehoboth Beach and back. The trail is about 3.2 miles each way, and most of the trail is packed crushed stone surface with several bridges, boardwalks and overlooks.
Interested participants should contact Lois Wilkinson at 302-672-6435 or email lwilkinson@debreastcancer.org by August 26 to register.
Organizers say the session will be free if you bring your own bike or cost a donation to the park for a bike rental. Helmets will also be available, however, participants should bring a brown bag lunch, insect repellent, and a water bottle.
The program is open to all breast cancer survivors.
The session will meet at 9 AM at Nature Center at Cape Henlopen State Park in Lewes l and the tour begins promptly at 9:15 AM. Transportation can also be arranged from the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition office in Dover but space is limited.
