Cirque Italia is in Salisbury for the first time ever

This is the first time Cirque Italia is in Salisbury and people were lined up to see them. Performers tell 47 ABC that the show is best described as a sort of Bellagio meets Broadway with the dramatic make up, detailed outfits, and classic music.

“I’m amazing I’m ready for the show – it’s almost showtime and we’ve been waiting for this all year,” said Alex the clown. “The real question is, are you ready?”

Alex Cerro is 4th generation circus performer  and he says this has been a family thing. His parents and siblings are all circus performers and he says the acts come from all over the world.

“We juggle fire, we juggle clubs, back to back rings – we do it all” said the Emiliano brothers from Argentina.

Folks lined up for the show but not before grabbing some buttery popcorn cheesy nachos and getting a quick face painting. All these vendor booths were worked by family members of the circus.

Cirque Italia is unique in their 35,000 gallon water tank known as Aquatic Spectacular that opens up in between the acts. When we asked why they finally choose to come to Salisbury they said simply – it was just time!

During intermission people where able to go up and take pictures with the mermaid and when 47 ABC asked folks how they felt about the show they said it was a must see and the finale is definitely worth waiting for.

These guys will be here all the way through Sunday with three special shows on Saturday, all located at the Wicomico Civic Center with ticket availability upon arrival.
