Big League: District 3 Coast Past Latin America

The District 3 big league softball team earned their first win of the 2016 World Series in pool play Tuesday morning when they defeated Latin America 8-1. The win improves them to 1-1.

District 3 would grab an early lead after Mya Maddox was able to lay down a bunt for a RBI infield single, scoring Karleigh Carroll. That was immediately followed by a 2-run home run by Brooke Stoeckel. Just one inning later, District 3 would continue to add to their lead after getting a RBI single to left from Stockel that would score Carroll. The lead would quickly built to over 5, and the defense would do the rest from there to close it out for the win.
