All lanes on Capital Beltway open after truck crash

(AP) – Transportation officials say all lanes on the inner loop of the Capital Beltway are open after an overturned tractor-trailer snarled morning rush hour traffic.

Maryland State Police said in a news release that shortly before 5 a.m. Wednesday, the driver of the tractor-trailer swerved to avoid a car, and the truck flipped. The crash occurred on Interstate 495 near River Road in Montgomery County.
 
Troopers say the driver of the tractor-trailer, which was hauling boxes of garbage bags, was not hurt.
 
The scene was cleaned up before noon.
