2016 Salisbury University Football Preview

The Salisbury University football team enters the 2016 season after a semi-successful 2015 campaign.
The Gulls ended an 11-game losing streak to rival Wesley, won a share of the NJAC conference championship, and made another playoff appearance. Unfortunately for them, that playoff appearance was short lived, with the Gulls suffering a 45-21 drubbing on the road at Cortland State.
After losing 19 seniors, the Gulls are back with alot of pieces that got them into the playoffs last year. 2015 NJAC Rookie of the Year Shane Gaines returns to a defense that gave up just under 30 points per game. They will look to lower than number in 2016. On offense, the Sea Gulls will lean on quarterback Ryan Jones, who is coming off a stellar season. Aarron Moore is a returning running back with alot of experience and will look forward to having an even better 2016.
The Gulls begin their season on Saturday, September 3rd at 7 p.m. when they take host Albright for the first time in the new Sea Gull Stadium.
