185 boats hit waters in day three of billfish tournament

185 boats hit the waters in day three of the White Marlin Open.

The billfish tournament has 329 boats registered in the 43rd annual event, with more than 4.4 million dollars up for grabs.

As of 5 p.m. Wednesday, it appears a 76.5 pound white marlin is still the contender for that division.

A 790 pound blue marlin remains at the top for the blue marlin division.

According to event officials, a 79 pound wahoo is currently leading the wahoo division.

Final weigh-ins are set for Friday.
