Worcester County has announced August fair dates

Worcester County has released the dates for their annual county fair.

The fair will be taking place from August 12-13 at Byrd Park in Snow Hill. Byrd Park is located along the Pocomoke River, and hours will be 10 AM – 8 PM on Friday, 10 AM – 8 PM on Saturday, and 8 AM – 4:30 PM on Sunday.

Changes to the schedule from years past include moving the Horse Show to Sunday, and expanding the classes that are offered. Classes are open to youth and adults this year, pre-entries are due by August 10, and will be $5.00 per class. Post entries are $8.00 per class and will received on the day of the show.

Also new this year will be a Home Depot wood working workshop for children on Friday, from11:00 AM -2:00 PM, and will be in the Children’s Tent.

There will even be bingo for adults on Saturday from 2:00 -5:00 PM, and proceeds will support the purchase of a new fire truck and benefit of the Fair. Businesses wishing to donate gift certificates or prizes can call 443-523-0497.
