Wor-Wic Tuition Scholarship Plan Resolution Given at Wicomico County Council Meeting

Some lucky Wicomico County students are one step closer to free tuition.

The Wicomico County Council went over the resolution that formalized the tuition scholarship plan agreement at their meeting Tuesday morning.

The Council presented the check to the scholarship fund last Tuesday, and the money is solely for students who are enrolled at the University.

Wicomico County officials said that the $265,000 dollars set aside for the scholarship is not the whole contingency fund.

To qualify for the money, officials say students must have been a resident in Wicomico County for at least two years.

The deadline to apply for the scholarship is July 29.
