UPDATE: Victim identified in fatal helicopter training fall

Troopers in Delaware have released the name of the volunteer firefighter who they say fell during training at the Delaware Coastal Airport on Rudder Lane.
Delaware State Police say, 46-year-old Tim McClanahan of Lewes has died after falling from a state police helicopter.
According to reports, McClanahan was the aircraft system’s hoist operator and reportedly fell from the skid. He fell from an undetermined height onto a grassy area below the aircraft, according to police.
He was reportedly pronounced dead at Beebe Healthcare.
Police say, a joint press conference is scheduled for Tuesday at 2:00 PM at Lewes Fire Department Station 2, located on the south side of the Nassau bridge. Service arrangements will reportedly be announced when finalized.
The investigation is being handled by the FAA with the assistance of the Delaware State Police.
