UPDATE: SPD continues search for teen and her baby

Salisbury Police Detectives say they are still looking for a 15-year-old girl and her 1-year old baby, and again ask for the public’s help in finding them.
On July 11, around 9:00 PM, Salisbury Detectives reportedly responded to Delaware Avenue for a report of a missing person. Responding officers say they met with the mother of the missing person who told officers that her daughter, Yeika Minerva Pacheco, had run away.
Further investigation indicated that Pacheco may have been with her one year old daughter, Jayden Omar Pacheco, when she left home. Both missing children were last seen on July 8.
An update has now been released saying that further investigation by detectives has found that Pacheco left her residence of her own free will, and she has run away in the past.
Investigators say that Jayden Pacheco underwent heart surgery about one year ago, and may need additional medical treatment now. However, that has not been confirmed yet.
According to the report, when Yeika ran away in the past, she was found in the Georgetown, Delaware area. Salisbury Police Department detectives and Delaware authorities have reportedly been continually checking the previous locations in Delaware, but have not been able to locate Yeika or Jayden Pacheco.
Detectives have apparently been diligently working with Yeika’s mom, Delaware law enforcement agencies, and medical professionals in an effort to find them.
Officials say both Yeika and Jayden Pacheco are still considered critically missing, based on their age and potential medical complications that may arise for the one-year-old. There are no known suspicious factors that have been reported related in relation to the disappearance of Yeika and Jayden.
This investigation is ongoing, so detectives ask that anyone who may have seen Yeika and Jayden Pacheco contact the Salisbury Police Department at 410-548-3165, or Crime Solvers at 410-548-1776.
