UPDATE: Identity released in Long Neck fatal crash

Delaware State Police have released the name of a man who died in a fatal crash Wednesday night, that happened just north of Long Neck.

According to troopers around 8:50 PM, 19-year-old Sara Lingo, of Millsboro was driving east approaching a stop sign at the intersection of Harmons Hill Road and Indian Mission Road. At that same time a 58-year-old James D. Waltz, of Millsboro was reportedly driving south approaching the same intersection with the right of way. Troopers say, Lingo failed to remain stopped at the stop sign and entered the intersection directly into the path of the Millsboro man, resulting in a collision.

The 58-year-old man was reportedly not properly restrained and was pronounced dead at the scene. His name is being withheld pending the notification of next of kin.

Lingo, who was properly restrained, was reportedly taken to Beebe Healthcare where she is currently admitted with undetermined injuries.

The Collision Reconstruction Unit is continuing their investigation into this incident and charges may be forthcoming. Officials say, alcohol or drugs do not appear to be a factor in this case.

Indian Mission Road was reportedly closed for about three hours while the crash was investigated and cleared.
