UPDATE: Bond lowered for Eden couple accused of running alleged puppy mill

In Wicomico County, a judge Tuesday morning lowered the bond for two people accused of running an alleged puppy mill in Wicomico County.

Robert and Susan Murphy both appeared before a judge via skype. They were arrested Monday after a lengthy investigation involving over 300 dogs found on their property earlier this year, in what authorities describe as deplorable conditions.

They were being held on $100,000 bond, but Tuesday morning, at a bond review hearing, that number was lowered to $49,000. No word yet on if either Robert or Susan Murphy have posted bail.

Also in court this morning a trial date was set for September.
