Suspects sought after graffiti found on businesses in Rehoboth

The Rehoboth Beach Police Department says they are asking for help in finding the suspect, or suspects, that spraypainted graffiti in Rehoboth Beach on Tuesday.

According to the report, around 10:30 AM, police were called to the Sandcastle Hotel on Second Street for a vandalism complaint in four locations throughout the property.

Then, around noon, officers say they were called to the Beachside Bar and Grill on Rehoboth Avenue for another report of vandalism.

The graffiti in both locations reportedly was in the same style. Investigators say they believe that the “tagging”, or spray painting of the graffiti, happened sometime between midnight and 10:30 AM on Tuesday.

The different graffiti images apparently all display the letters “OPM”, and two of the images display an image of a small heart over the letters “OPM” while two others have the letters “OPM” enclosed in a syringe.

Officials ask that anyone with information regarding either of these incidents to contact Detective Tyler Whitman at 302-524-1391.
