Seaford man sentenced after slashing woman’s throat

A Seaford man now knows his fate, after he slashed his girlfriend’s throat, back in 2015. On June 22, 21-year-old Darnell Aiken pleaded guilty to assault first degree and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony.
In August 2015, Aiken was arguing with his ex-girlfriend inside her home on Nat Turner Street, in Bridgeville, when Aiken then grabbed a knife and slashed the woman’s throat. After his initial arrest. Aiken was facing a slew of charges, including an attempted murder charge.
The courts have sentenced Aiken to seven years prison at level five, followed by two years of level three probation, followed by three years at level two probation.
