Police: Deaths of toddler, man in fire may be murder-suicide

(AP) – Police say the deaths of a man and a young girl in a Fairfax County house fire may have been a murder-suicide.

The fire occurred Wednesday at 11 a.m. on Fairfax Hunt Road. Firefighters discovered the bodies of the man and toddler in the home. The identities have not yet been released.
 
On Thursday, police said they are investigating the case as a possible murder-suicide.
 
Police said their investigation is ongoing and they are awaiting autopsy results from the medical examiner.
