Police: 2 arrested for transporting meth in suitcases

(AP) – Two people have been arrested after Delaware State Police say a traffic stop revealed methamphetamine in their suitcases.
Police spokesman Gary Fournier tells local media that Friday, 28-year-old Christopher A. Biddinger and 21-year-old Victoria L. Barbati were walking along the shoulder of John J. Williams Highway when an officer stopped the pair for questioning.
Both Biddinger and Barbati gave the officer false names. The officer searched suitcases that the two were carrying, and found .88 grams of meth as well as equipment used to manufacture the drug.
Both men were arrested and charged with operating a clandestine laboratory, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, conspiracy, criminal impersonation and possession of drug paraphernalia.
It’s unclear if Biddinger and Barbati have attorneys.
