Man wanted on sexual assault charges in Del. arrested in Easton

Police in Easton say they arrested a man wanted on sexual assault offenses in Delaware, on Friday.

The Easton Police Department says Rysheim Gibson, 18, of Easton, was wanted in Delaware in connection to a sexual assault, that was committed on a juvenile victim.

Police say they took Gibson into custody on a fugitive warrant, on behalf of the Delaware State Police, and then processed him at the Easton Police Department. According to the report, Gibson was taken for an initial appearance hearing, and was turned over to the custody of the Talbot County Detention Center.

Officials state that Gibson is waiting for extradition proceedings that will take place on behalf of the Delaware State Police. Gibson is reportedly incarcerated in Talbot County, pending those proceedings.
