Man arrested after threatening two with knife

Easton police say a man was taken into custody on Saturday after allegedly threatening two people with a large kitchen knife.

32-year-old Clementino DeJesus Lopez-Morales faces assault charges after police say he threatened his two roommates with a long kitchen knife. We’re inside of a Plum Street residence, Lopez-Morales began sharpening his knife as he was threatening the two others.

As police arrived, Lopez-Morales reportedly tried to hide behind a door towards the back of the residence. Easton PD says he was located and arrested.

According to police, Lopez-Morales faces 2 counts of 1st degree assault, 2 counts of 2nd degree assault and two counts of wearing and carrying a dangerous and deadly weapon.

We’re told he is being held at the Talbot County Detention Center on $50,000 bond.
