Maintaining the poultry house at the DE state fair

There are many things to see at the Delaware State Fair including all the animals and the Delmarva building is the place to check out the poultry! But things can get pretty messy in there and that’s why 47 ABC was put to work!
First up, meeting our boss Laora Baker. Baker says, “We feed in the morning and at 4 in the afternoon so at noon all we do is water and feed the birds.” Our first task, filling up water containers. Baker says, “Normally I just walk down the rows and I look and since I have both rabbits and chickens I normally go up and down.”
Next we had to feed the birds. To feed them properly so they don’t escape, you toss a small cup of food right on the floor. After feeding time, our final job was sweeping the floors.
