Kortney Rhoades Lands Gig as DSU Womens’ Soccer Head Coach

Delaware State University announced Kortney Rhoades as the head coach of the women’s soccer team on Wednesday afternoon.
The Wilmington, Del. native comes to DSU after spending two season as an assistant coach at Division II Colorado Mesa. The Colorado Mesa Mavericks went 4-10-4 in 2015 and 1-13-4 in 2014.
“I’m super excited for the opportunity to come to DSU,” says the 26 year-old Rhoades, “I get to come home and I think if anything, the biggest draw is that I get to bring my experiences from South Carolina where I played and Colorado Mesa. You can’t really beat that.”
Rhoades was a standout player at Padua Academy, where she received four All-State selections, leading her team to two state titles.
