The Ocean City Police Department and the Town of Ocean City say they are taking a close look at the events that occurred over the weekend on the Boardwalk.

Communications Manager for the Town of Ocean City, Jessica Waters, released a statement saying,

“This was not a typical Friday and Saturday night on the Boardwalk. Where we usually have large crowds of families on the Boardwalk, this past weekend they were joined by large crowds of young adults which we do not typically see this time of year. While most of our visitors were in town to enjoy a beautiful summer weekend at the beach, there were a handful of visitors who chose to disobey our laws and treat our town without respect. This activity will not be tolerated on our Boardwalk, our beach or anywhere in Ocean City. As with any change in normal activity, The Ocean City police department will review all events that took place over the weekend. We want everyone to enjoy Ocean City but we expect all visitors to our town to be respectful to others and to obey the laws.  The safety of our residents and visitors is, as always, our top priority.”
