Humane Society of Wicomico Co. to host open house Saturday

A local humane society is celebrating Christmas in July, with an open house. The Humane Society of Wicomico County says on Saturday, July 16, they will be hosting “Christmas in July Open House.”

The event will feature adoption specials, ice cream, and a 50/50 raffle. The open house will be running from 1-3:00 PM.

Officials say they are also excited to announced that the author of Friday Night Fighters: A Forensic Veterinarian Mystery, Gail Buchalter, will be one site, signing books. Her book apparently explores the tale of a forensic veterinarian and her fight against dog fighting set in Maryland’s Eastern Shore.
