Fugitive wanted on drug charges located in Delaware

A multi-jurisdiction fugitive team says they located a wanted Wicomico County fugitive, in Delaware Monday night.

Maryland State Police say that Keith Sivels Jr., 24, was wanted for failing to appear for sentencing in Wicomico County following his conviction of possession with intent to distribute drugs in the state. According to the report, the warrant specifically dealt with the possession and intent to distribute heroin.

Authorities say that Monday, an investigation by the Maryland State Apprehension Team/Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force, led them to a home on Shaprtown Road in Laurel, Delaware.

Investigators reportedly thought that Sivels was hiding out in the home, and saw the cars that they believed he was driving. The report states that investigators surrounded the home, and found Sivels inside allowing them to arrest him without any problems. Officials say Sivels waived extradition and was then transported to the Wicomico County Detention Center.
