Former Maryland police officer dies in Parsonsburg crash

Troopers from the Maryland State Police Salisbury Barrack say, a former Maryland police officer lost his life Saturday afternoon, following a crash in Parsonsburg.
According to MSP at about 2:00 PM, 74-year-old Ronald Miner was driving east bound on Mount Hermon road near Waste Gate Road. Investigators say, he then suddenly crossed the double yellow line in the roadway hitting Stacey Rossey who was driving west on Mount Hermon Road.
Miner was reportedly taken to PRMC where he was pronounced deceased.
Police say, Rossey and a 1 and 2-year-old were in the vehicle at the time of the crash. They reportedly had non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing. Officials say it is unknown if Miner died as a result of the collision or if there was a medical emergency that happened prior.
Miner was reportedly a 40-year Law Enforcement Officer in the State of Maryland serving with both Baltimore and Howard County Police Departments.
