Duke University student receives scholarship from DE Forestry Association

Future Duke University student Brandon Dawson was honored in the Agriculture Commodities Building at the Delaware State Fair on Thursday.

Dawson, who is set to continue his studies in forestry, received a $1,000 dollar scholarship from the Delaware Forestry Association. The association has been awarding grants to college kids set to study forestry in college for the past 6 years. But not everyone can receive it, there are certain criteria students have to meet to apply for it.

All students have to have their forms submitted by April 1st, applicants then narrow it down to top 3. After that final 3 is selected it goes to the directors who review it and make their final decision.
