Drugs reportedly found in vehicle after being stopped for speeding

Officials from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s office say they reportedly found drugs in a vehicle during a traffic stop on Foskey Lane.
Around 4:30 AM on Monday, a deputy reportedly stopped a car after clocking the driver to be going 75mph in a 55mph zone.
Tyquan Fowler, 19, of New Jersey, was a passenger in the car, and the deputy reportedly saw indicators in the car that prompted him to request a Wicomico Sheriff Drug K9 scan.
Officials say that during the scan, they K9 alerted positively to the presence of the smell of illegal drugs. After another search, officials reportedly found cocaine in a backpack that belonged to Fowler.
According to the report, Fowler was then placed under arrest amd charged with possession of cocaine, taken to the Central Booking Unit, processed, and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner.
Officials say that Fowler was given an initial appearence, but was detained by the Commissioner in the Detention Center in lieu of a $5,000 bond.
