Day Three of Kryshonna Jones Trial

In day three of the murder trial of 34 year old Justin Barney, the defendant, 20 year old Kryshonna Jones, took the stand and admitted to stabbing Barney. 

Previously, Jones had stated she did not know how Barney was stabbed. Voluntarily taking the stand on Wednesday, Jones painted a very different picture of what happened on a cold January night outside her home where Barney was killed.

Jones says Barney came over to try to soothe things over after an argument, but she says Barney became violent.  Jones says Barney pinned her up against the car, but not before she was able to retrieve a knife.  Jones admitted she used that knife in self defense.

The jury is set to deliberate tomorrow on the charges that Jones faces including 1st degree murder.  For a defendant to be charged with 1st degree murder, the jury must find that the act was pre-meditated.
